The Arc Flash Protection Clothing is a specialised personal protective equipment (PPE) ensemble designed to safeguard electrical workers from the severe thermal hazards posed by an electrical arc flash, for instance when working on or near live high-voltage conductors, switchgear, transformers or overhead/underground distribution systems.
This clothing combines flame-resistant, arc-rated materials with garment design and certification to offer protection against intense heat, molten metal, and thermal radiation associated with arc flash events.
- Wide range of protection coats, bib overalls & coverall available.
- Clothing available from 8 CAL/cm2 to l 00 CAL/cm2.
- Available in different colours.
- Lighter material than ever before.
- Wide range of gloves and dielectric footwear available.
- Wide range of accessories available.
Typical Use Cases
- Maintenance, switching, and service operations on live overhead or underground distribution lines.
- Work inside substations, switchgear rooms, transformer stations, or any environment with potential for arc faults or flashovers.
- Assignments where compliance with workplace electrical-safety standards is required (e.g. arc-flash hazard zones, high-voltage installation/maintenance).
- Any task involving handling or proximity to live conductors or energized electrical equipment where arc-flash risk assessment indicates need for arc-rated PPE.
