Line Hoses & Insulator Covers are flexible insulating covers (line hoses) and rigid/flexible cover-up elements designed to shield energized conductors, insulators, and live parts during live-line work or maintenance operations.
These are part of the broader category of “insulating protective equipment (IPE)”, not wearable PPE, but equipment used to cover or guard live parts to reduce risk of accidental contact.

Typical Applications
- Live-line maintenance, switching or repair work on overhead distribution or transmission lines.
- Covering energized conductors, insulators, connectors, and hardware before performing live-line operations, to provide a safety barrier against accidental contact.
- Use in conjunction with other safety practices (insulating gloves/sleeves, hot sticks, rubber blankets, etc.) to meet the required safety standards for working within approach-distance of live equipment.
- Temporary isolation / shielding of energized parts during inspection or maintenance of poles, cross-arms, transformers, or other overhead network components.
